Just wondering: Anyone read anything by Piers Anthony? He wrote the Xanth series and the Incarnations of Immortality series. They're great series (haven't read the Xanth series in full, there seems to be thirty-odd books in that series or something!), I especially like the Immortality series.

Unfortunately, I have to read "Angel's Ashes" for school. Why would anyone want to read the depressing thing, I don't know.

To Mattisa: I've started reading both series at about sixteen; the Xanth series is all about puns, so if you don't like puns, it isn't for you. The first book of the Xanth series is actually how I picked my user name. The other series is about the incarnations of Death, Time, Fate, War, and . . . shoot, I forgot the rest of 'em. I actually like the Incarnations of Immortality series better. My suggestion: Flip through some of the books to see if it's to your liking. Oh, and when's your birthday?
To Duckflesh: I never head of Angel's Ashes--what's it about?

Angela's Ashes is a depressing book... and movie... about a poor Irish family in the thirties. And, as an Irish person myself, I don't care. I don't like depressing books.

To Duckflesh: Angela's Ashes . . . alright, I HAVE heard of it, after all, but I haven't read it. I'm not a big fan of depressing books, either, but once in a while it can be alright, given that it's at least well-written. To Mattisa: Hey, maybe you could ask for a gift card to a book store or something for your birthday . . . or cash, cash is good, too .
