When you first join either Redwall, or The Horde, you recieve 150 Gold Pieces (aka GP). You may use those GPs to buy weapons and accesories from The Hidden Town in the Woods. To earn more gold you mainly just have to participate in certain things, when gold will be given out it will be posted on that part of the board. If you have any questions or problems about the GP, ask them here.

Would it be the recorder's job to keep track of the GP when there is one, because I've been keepin' me eye on that job, this may be a job question, but it also has to do with the way GP is kept track of. Thanks much m'lady

Amazing as it may be, a thought has struck me! Would it not be possible for characters to loot/rob/steal from/extort/etc other characters for gps?

As much as I would appreciate that being a thief and all, I don't believe that that would be a fair turn of events, seeing as we all have no control over other people's posts and one beast could just randomly say "I have everyones gold now" and then the next one would do the same and we would all end up with a big yelling fest of "I have stolen your GP", "No I have yours" and that wouldn't be fun now would it? Well, thats just my thoughts on it and all. I think that items that you buy or buy things with shouldn't be able to be stolen, given maybe, but not stolen...

It wouldn't be THAT simple, my youn fea-- friend... Any such thievery would have to be role played through to success or dismal failure prior to it being annotated (which should take 4-5 posts total at the max).
Your attempt to eat cake without being caught could be used as an example of a bungled attempt to steal.

Yes, but you see that the cake was never actually bought by anyone and therefore it was not under the catigory that I said, about thngs that you buy or use to buy things with, and it wasn't a bungled attempt, I just not be the most cooridinated mouse there ever was. ::smirks:: besides, I always wanted to be up to me neck in pudding!

No, the only person who will even touch the accounts is me or another admin.
As of now Muramin, no thieving of gp but you can steal 'fake' items like Mattisa's cake... explain to me the exact process of thieving gp you would want, like how you take it and such and I will think about it

I have an idea. How about we start a black market on which you can sell the organs of beasts you've recently killed? Eh? Eh?

I'm just taking a guess here for M'lady, but i'm guessing that would be a no, unless it just so happens that the most recent beast you killed happens to be a giant cake and its organs include strawberries and cream and the black market part is taken out... but thats just a guess

I can't see you as the type that would want to save a beast with that organ... so why would you like a random organ of some beast in your house?

Well, simply put, it works like this:
Player 1 (thief) attempts to slide a paw into the pocket of Player 2 (victim) or one of many other ways to steal from someone.
Player 2 responds, hopefully reasonably, to the attempt to steal in the usual way. (IE: if it were to collide and grab, they'd fall down...)
Player 1, if their first attempt was successful, tries to get away without being caught with the stolen goods and will get away unless the stolen item is something that character was going to use soon or of the like.

well, I thought about this for quite a bit and I'm just going to say no stealing gp and such unless it's a strategic plan in the main RPG. I don't want people to be afraid of participating because they don't want there things stolen. I was going to let you steal a little but my plan of stealing is way too complicated and It'd be a pain in the neck for everyone to carry out the plan.

How does that effect me? Am I still alloud to steal non bought things like your bracelet and soforth? Or does that make my thievery impossible to ever do again and I need to not be whom I am...? ::frowns::

This goes for all: You may still steal pretend things, like my bracelet or cake but if you don't give personal items (such as my bracelet) back then you will loose gp
