**The stoat, knowing they have seen him from her loud call, lets out a tremendous roar, hoping it will scare Nanalie into the Abbey. His eyes never stop searching the court yard, and when he notices a bunch of open barrles that have been collecting water, he shoots a crossbow bolt at the very bottom of each one with impressive speed, allowing the water to start draining out. That done, he loads yet another bolt and looks to see if Nanalie is still in the mud**

(( All right. I think it's time I made a very important announcement: Duckie-dear, I'm sorry to say that I'm going through a change of heart. You're just too tactless and too... Full of male ignorance for me. From this post foreward, I'm not fighting for you. I'm fighting again' you... See ya in the Dark Forest, Duckie-dear... And, in case it confuses some of you, the little thread entitled "It Starts" is meant to predate this one in the grand scheme of things... I was just holding off posting here until I decided to make the switch official... )) Arrow already nocked and drawn, her feline form would just peak around a corner of the main abbey building. Her two eyes, each a different color, would fall upon the stoat standing upon the battlements. She would break her cover from him for a few seconds, raising her aim for that poor beast upon the wall. Her voice then rose up loud to get his attention as she spoke a taunt common from the bowbeasts of her home.
"By Freyjaleise, let my arrow be true..."
And with that, she loosed the arrow. The red fletching would prove to be the most prominant part as the slender tip and shaft sped for the stoat with enough force to, were it to take his torso as she'd aimed, send him back over the battlements to the side he belonged on: the outside.

**The Stoat falls from the wall, landing in mud that probably would have saved his life if not for the arrow protuding from his body. The red fletched arrow had penetrated all the way through, and a Rat quickly grabs the stoat and drags his corpse into the forest, wondering why the arrow looked so familiar. Arriving from the side of the forest neart the gates, Duckflesh kneels next to the corpse. Pulling the arrow out, he would look it over, then stride away from the body in silence**
He died for the Horde. Find his other friends and have a cremation.

*peering from inside the abbey, Nanalie witnesses the horrifying, yet relieving sight of the stoats demise. She touches her bow, still hanging from her shoulder* Oh dear.. it's either th-them or me? right?meh...*She retreats from the window and searches for the abbess. *I'm going to an upper level with my bow and my arrows. I'm taking all the long range weapon wielders with me. If anybody other than the vermin are outside, can you come up and tell us? And if you could, get that redwaller outside who shot the vermin in here so he can help us*she whispers quietly. she turns to the rest of the redwallers. and waves her hands until everyone is quite. she points to her bow and a couple of the redwallers with bows and motions for them to follow her. All of them catch on and soon she is off with all the bow and arrow and slingshot wielders in the abbey. They walk silently upstairs, each contemplating the reality of the whole ordeal. None of them have taken a life from any creature before. They shot at barrels. not creatures. When they reached the 2nd floor, Nanalie gave them instructions* There is one of us out there, so be careful who you shoot. Hopefully they will come in and help us. Until then, Don't turn on the light unless you want to be seen and killed. Stay low at all times. We need two goodbeasts in every room. Whatever you do, don't let them get over the wall! *with that, the redwallers buddied up leaving Nanalie behind* hmm..and odd number..oh well..*Nanalie scurried off into the first available room and set herself up*

**The Vermin are well hidden in the woods, and have stopped firing, staying still deep inside the trees. The rain seems to be calming, the lighting and thunder coming from further and further away**

However, a hard gust of air comes, keeping the dark clouds overhead. HOwever, the rain and lightning have stopped, for now. However, the sound of thunder moves closer and closer. However, it soon comes into view that this is merely the collosal Snapper, walking thunderously to the gate. He grasps the gate, grasp it. With an again thunderous Roaring, this time from deep in his throat, he begins pulling and lifting. The whole gate creaks as it slowly begins to shudder and break. Snappers' mouth opens slowly, stretching outwards, and finally he bites part of the gate in a once again Thunderous Caaaaccckkkk! sound. The Gate slowly is ripped to pieces. In a few minutes, the gate would be destroyed.

(( If only I had a toxin now... )) Muramin would perk an ear as she heard the noise, grabbing another red-fletched arrow and nocking it. Nipping back around that corner, she waited until she heard the gate actually torn away, picturing in her mind just how the turtle would have been positioned. She chanced a peek to make sure before she moved out into the open. It took a bit of effort for her to draw back the string to her firing position, but she did pull it back to the tip of her ear. She looked up at the turtle, raising the bow so her arrow, were it loosed, would fly straight for his left eye.
"Go back! You are not welcome here! Return at once to your hoarde!"
She knew that she was taking a good-sized risk, but she felt that it was a worthy risk to take.

((Sorry everyone, I have been really preoccupied lately, but I'm back for now, but in like 2 weeks I have to go, family vacation and all, but I'm here to helps and such now))
::Mattisa, finally arriving in the huge main entrance, with the barrels of hot sauce and jars calls out to the crowd:: Ok everyone, this may seem like a long shot, but seeing as we have our archers in the higher levels, the rest of us neeed to become occupied and usefull. Don't ask questions, but take these jars and fill them with a good amount of hotsauce and lemon juice as well as all the pepper and anything else we have on hand, just make sure it is hot, spicy, or extreemly sour. ::Everyone looks at him like he is crazy:: Come on now, hop to everyone, we cant just sit here whist they break our wall down, the rain will stop soon and we need a backup! I know what I be talking about. ::he creatures still look at him skeptically, but nimbly begin to fill the jars. Mattisa shouts above the working again:: Everybeast listen, I need all of those that won the summer games earlier last year when we are through with this. Quickly now, I don't think that crash was thunder, we need to work fast!

Snapper bends down, setting the log in his mouth down since frankly, wood is not a very tasty item for a turtle. The arrow flies over him, rocketing into the forrest. A few miles down, it hits some Mole from Redwall in the back, killing him. Snapper looks up, sees the arrower, and goes back behind the wall, allowing Grunts to prepare to rush the building.

::The job of filling jars done, the small army of Redwallers join the archers in the higher levels, taking safety in the hallways, but having a clean shot from the large windows. Gravely, they wait orders, from the Abbess and the vermin. Because they cannot see them, the Redwallers stay as still as possible, a wave of fear hovers around them, but with it comes thier confidence. The attack started in the night, and the creatures tire, letting some rest and some stay on guard, they regain energy and become more alert. As the sun rises, a sense of a new day reaches them, but terrifying and liberating at the same time::

**just then, the mole suffers from a sudden heart attack, and dies**
**The day is a hot one. the water from the storm last night is evaporating quickly. A volley of arrows is fired from the woods into the second story windows of redwall. Imediately after firing, the Bow Beasts hide, backing firing back impossible.**
