This is what is happening. The defenders who stayed here are regaining their strength from an exhausting battle. I cannot ask them to help with the abbey just yet. We need gate repairers and foragers. As you may have seen, our orchards are gone and we only have what is in our cellars. To be on the safe side, we need anything you can find in Mossflower and the dibbuns can look around the abbey to see if anything at all is left or clean up. Be careful in Mossflower. Take at least 3 other beasts with you when you are cutting wood or foraging.
*The redwallers split themselves up and began work repairing the abbey. Before they start work, they carry the badger into the infirmary, leaving her with the infirmary keeper. Nanalie leaves the hall to check on the others in the dormitories*
