I was told by an old friend. He lives in Mossflower woods. Maybe he didn't see the little mouse. I don't know.. But.. can we talk in the kitchens? I smell some REALLY REALLY GOOD!!! it smells like acorn plumberry pie! a squirrel can simply not resist it!

If you are tired, theres an extra room in the dormitories with a nice, warm and dry bed. I can send some food up to you if you like. I'm a bit busy right now though, so make yourself at home. *she eyes the mouse, searching for any noticeable sign of evil or the like. After deciding he is ok she rushes off*

The Abbess looks arund the great hall, and thinks for a moment. She takes out a piece of paper along with a quill and goes up against a wall and writes:
To the goodbeasts of the Redwall Abbey,
We are in a time of a great war and as you have noticed I haven't been able to lead you the correct way for my ways are not that of leading for war. I have been watching the battlefields though and it appears that Nanalie and Mattisa have taken a great control of the beasts and are leading everyone the best they can so for now, they shall be your leaders. I will step down from my position and I give it to Nanalie and Mattisa, though it is only for this time. Please follow Mattisa and Nanalie's orders and if you have any further questions feel free to ask me them.
