As many believe, Martin's history is a sad tale. Felldoh's death and Laterose's death was told in the original tale, but these "deaths" so called were only part of the actual tale. Felldoh's death was commonly remembered, but not to long after the heroes returned to Noonvale, and Martin journeyed to Mossflower that Felldoh somehow dug himself out, and journeyed himself to Noonvale, later marrying Calendine (don't ask me why). Before Felldoh returned, Rose regained consciousness, because Badrang only knocked her unconscious. It took her sometime to remember her past, but Martin by this time had returned to Noonvale. Martin and Rose married, but had no children and when they both died, Martin was buried in Redwall Abby. Rose was buried in Noonvale.
