**A rat stalks up the main path. He's within easy visual distance of the Abbey, but he doesn't even glance at it. He goes off into the woods, emerging again a few minutes later with a vermin corpse. He repeats the process several more times, making a pile of the dead.**

**once he has all the casualties gathered, he soaks the bodies with some form of alcohol and sets them alight, producing a rather large bonfire. He leaves it burning, humming a happy tune**

*Chloe skips around the forest and finally ends up at the gates up redwall. She tries to get in, but the gate is closed. She scratches at the gate and waits patiently for the gatekeeper to raise the gate. Unfortunately, her scratch isn't loud enough, so she sits for quite a bit of time*

*Taln opens a side gate and slips out, closing the door softly behind him. He slips into the forest, hoping to be unnoticed by both sides. He takes a quick glance upward, then continues on until he reaches a small clearing with two others waiting, a fox and a weasel. Taln sits by them and they talk.*
