((i dunno, i thought i remembered reading of them using it on a ship, but i'm not sure. if not, can a mouse see a kilometer away? OOO! or the mouse could have a pet bird named binoculars that flies around and tells him what he sees? grr, stupid details..))

The Abbess comes running, out of breath "Sorry I came as fast as I could!" The Abbess scans the surrounding area and sees what the mouse is talking about and sighs "As of now, we need a set of guards on the wall tops AT ALL TIMES. The members of Redwall are going to need training to I encourage all of those who know the art of warfare to help teach. Unfortuntly, my knowledge of war isn't that great so we shall all have to talk to each all about how to defend ourselves. If anyone comes up with a good idea please be sure to say it, even if you find it stupid."

::Hobbling along the roof, Mattisa makes his way to the Abbess and Nanalie. Quite out of breath, he starts to explain himself:: Miss Abbess, I've seen, not doubt you have too, but the vermin, they may be sending firey...things... at us! If they do that now, like they did before, we will need water. and lots of it. I be no good at the moment, I have no legs of use now, but if they are still here in a few seasons, I'll be honored to help... ::Stalls, when he realized that this was not the time to joke, clears throught:: et hem, sorry M'lady, I should be of more help.

*Nanalie hears a snap and looks out over the wall. She spots two arrows coming quickly in her direction* Everybody!! Watch out!! *She shouts as she dives, throwing the Abbess and Mattissa to the ground with a loud bang*

The Abbess thinks for a moment, frowning then says "We have to get down from the walltops now, we can send out a few Redwallers to eliminate any of the vermin near the abbey because if a couple have gotten this close, it means that more have as well. For the moment, we need as many buckets as we can as well as blankets to smother the fires. We can use the pond for water of course. Does that sound good to you 3((mouse included...)) for now?" Before anyone could reply to her, a voice is heard from over the walltops, taking a peak the Abbess looks and sees suspicios figures though it is too hard to see what they are of and says "I'll be right back" She then crawls to the stairs creeping down then while staying low to see what they wanted.
