From now on, I'm eating three times as much meat as usual to make up for the meat you aren't eating, Mattisa. **goes to work on a side of beef**

::glares at him:: thats not why I don't eat meat, I don't care if other people do, I just can't stomache it. ::makes a face:: and why would people want to eat poor defensless little lambs? Why would anyone eat veal? Thats the only thing I don't get. And who can explain why people eat spam? Yuck, that's just sickening, my ma'ams likes spam sandwiches and they are,... sick

look, lots of people badmouth spam, but if you take the time to COOK it, it's really good. Now, eating it raw, I can see why that's disgusting, but spam cooked in a pan? yummy. Anyway, I know how you feel. I can't stomach milk. I'm not lactose intolerant or anything, but milk just makes me want to gag.
Veal is actually pretty good. You do know veal is calf, right? Not lamb.

Yeah, well, we don't live in England. If we did we'd call elevators "lifts" and say bloody a lot.

hehehe. I don't really like meat. the only meat i eat is meatballs, tacos, and hamburgers. I always thought it would be kewl to be a vegetarian. I should just go for it. But i think i'm too much of a picky eater to be a vegetarian. I can't stomach apples, and bananas make my mouth and throat itch. But i really like them both. Its upsetting.

For vegetarians: They DO have cucumber rolls, which are just sliced cucumber wrapped in rice and that seaweed stuff, and it's pretty good.
On veal: I've grown up eating meat, and I've grown accustomed to the taste, but I can't handle eating veal simply because it's a BABY animal, and I'd just feel guilty. It didn't have a chance to LIVE yet. Call me a hypocrite if you will, but I believe that if you're going to kill something to eat it, it should be used to the fullest extent possible. Just my thoughts, though, and to each his (or her) own.
On Spam: My fiance' LOVES Spam. I guess I can eat small amounts of what I call "imitation meat", but it's a possibility (if necessary).
Hehehe. --Annie

I don't make a habit of eating veal. I've only ever actualyl had it once, and I didn't find out what it was until afterwards. I'm more of a cheap cattle beef eater.

lol, before I started being veggie, (I was raised a carnivore) I read The Jungle and from then on couldn't eat canned meat. Soon followed with no beef. I still eat some chicken though, I'm weird. But the cucumber rolls sound really good, and since I had a bowl of life cereal for dinner I am really hungry... ahh well, we aught to have some bread or something somewhere, yummm. pb and bannana sandwich here I come...

Now, to be fair, the Jungle was written about meat plants in like the early 1900s. I doubt it's still applicable. Besides, I hardly ever eat canned meat. And I hate Seaweed. I'm not just saying that because of what it is, I really think it tastes bad.

. . . "Meat plants"?? . . . .
It's odd, seaweed (in dried form used for rolling sushi) doesn't seem to taste like . . . well, ANYTHING. It's almost as if it were just there to hold it all together. They do have sashimi (I think that's what it's called, where you just have the slice of fish on a bed of seasoned, shaped rice, if you're interested.
